Blaire Sydney started from a small observation. Most people own several jackets and wear one of them. The others sit in the wardrobe because they are too warm, too stiff, too smart, or just not quite right.
So we build the one you reach for. Something you can put on to walk the dog, to catch the train, to meet friends after work, without thinking about it once.
We make jackets for men and for women, and we give both the same attention.

We want Blaire Sydney to be the name people give a friend who says they need a decent jacket. Not the cheapest, not the flashiest, the one that turned out to be worth it.

A jacket earns its place by being used. Ours are made to be lived in, not kept for the right occasion.
Fit before anything
A jacket that pulls across the back or swims at the shoulders is a jacket you will not wear. We start there, then worry about the rest.
Made to hold up
Fabric that keeps its shape, seams that stay put, zips that still work next winter. Buying the same thing twice is not a saving.
Quiet over loud
Colours and shapes that still look right in a few years. Nothing you will be embarrassed to be photographed in later.
